Based on the beautiful East Coast of Tasmania, MCNEILL+MIMA is a design firm with a difference - offering building, interior design, joinery design and property styling services.

Jane McNeill grew up in Tasmania surrounded by building and architectural design as a way of life through her architect and architectural educator father, and surrounded by his extended like-minded community. After initially working in fine arts and restaurant management, Jane was instinctively drawn back to her design roots.

Holding degrees in Fine Arts, Environmental Design and Architecture, Jane binds these disciplines together in MCNEILL+MIMA.

Having worked in both Tasmania and NSW, Jane has 25 years of experience across all facets of residential design, the last 14 years working as Project Architect and then Associate Director at Luigi Rosselli Architects in Sydney.

Jane believes in the importance of the client brief + budget, response to site, the interconnection between the built, natural and social landscape, and places a high value on aesthetics. Jane's focus is design that is environmentally, socially and culturally contextual, sustainable and responsible.
